Metrocon 2010: Day 3

July 25, 2010

The hectic day, as usual. XDD Got up early, I styled my brother’s Netherlands wig while everyone else went to breakfast (I had some of the stuff we had leftover in the room). It didn’t come out as nice as I’d like it but it will be perfected for the day when we have the WHOLE group together and one of his official outfits are done. :3 Read the rest of this entry ?

Metrocon 2010: Day 2

July 24, 2010

We got up at 9-ish to go down to breakfast and then, getting back up, got ready for the day. I went as a casual Xion, which consisted of my underclothes and a purple plaid shirt that I borrowed from Kirky. My brother was back in Futch. JD was back in Miroku, Ash was Drunk!Italy, Mel and Kirky were Lavi and Allen. As we headed to the con center, we saw Scott outside and went to say hi. I introduced him to my brother. He was like, “Okay, you can be With a J.” Read the rest of this entry ?

Metrocon 2010: Day 1

July 23, 2010

We woke up at around 8, got down to breakfast, got back up to the room by 10, got dressed, and made it to the con by 11. I was dressed as Subaru. My brother was dressed as Futch. JD was Miroku. Ashley was Erika. Mel and Kirky were Grimmjow and Ulquiorra respectively. We went to weapon’s check to check Futch’s sword in. Then we wandered a little before deciding to check out KellyJane and TealPirate’s Shinra Files panel. While waiting for the panel in line, James saw a Tir cosplayer and the Tir cosplayer saw James as Futch and they were both like, “OH MY GOD!!” *hug* They both said to each other, “You made my day!” because they were the only Suikoden cosplayers there. XDD It was kinda cute. Read the rest of this entry ?

Denver Cherry Blossom Festival 2010

June 27, 2010

I managed to make it out to the Denver Cherry Blossom Festival this year, and boy was it a day worth celebrating! It is always fun to get in with some Japanese folks and those who like Japanese culture. I met tons of new people, and also met up with some old Con buddies of mine. It was a great day, and I am so glad I took time to visit good old Sakura Square once again. Read the rest of this entry ?

Saturday, May 1st was not only Free Comic Book Day, but also the first CamCon in Colorado. CamCon 2010 is a convention focusing on anime, manga, and comic books. CamCon 2010 took place from 8:00-11:00 am at 5542 East US Highway 34, the Best Western Crossroads Inn & Conference Center in Loveland, CO. I had plenty of time to go by and check out the convention. Tokyo International Anime Fair 2010

March 28, 2010

Anime Fest. The event conjures up images of thirteen year-old cosplayers with styrofoam swords and swag laden bags hypnotized by the polarity of sexpot dolls and kawaii plushies. As the Tokyo International Anime Fair approached, I thought back to previous convention giants-San Diego Comic Con, WonderCon (based in San Francisco) and the emerging NY Comic Con. Animeland Wasabi: Review & Pictures

March 7, 2010

Well today was the last day of con *SAD FACE*. It has been quite the adventure. We woke up later today around 9:00 or so since we weren’t going to set up our table. The day was pretty slow. We made one final trip to the dealers room, where I bought yet another figure set. Around 12:00 we decided to get checked out and take our leave for home. We said goodbye to our new friends.. a very sad farewell to Matt whom we ended leaving in the hallway. However, just because con is over doesn’t mean we wont keep in touch.  Now its time for the review… Read the rest of this entry ?

Animeland Wasabi

March 6, 2010

Well, Day 2 is over and it was indeed better than yesterday. Overall, today we made $124 from our Artist Alley table. After sitting for hours on end though, we are not going to have our table tomorrow. Other than that, there were many interesting happenings at the con today. Still seeing strange cosplayers, but some were decent. We all even got our pictures taken for Cosplay.com and more! Read the rest of this entry ?
