Denver Cherry Blossom Festival 2010

I managed to make it out to the Denver Cherry Blossom Festival this year, and boy was it a day worth celebrating! It is always fun to get in with some Japanese folks and those who like Japanese culture. I met tons of new people, and also met up with some old Con buddies of mine. It was a great day, and I am so glad I took time to visit good old Sakura Square once again.

Meet Kenshin Himura

Kenshin Himura is the main character from Rurouni Kenshin & Rurouni Kenshin OVA Series. Kenshin is a deep character who can only be judged knowing his complete history. One has to appreciate that he has a dark and a light side, that he remained pure in childhood despite having to kill, and in his willingness to repent. Kenshin’s influence is unique, in that his high charisma allow him to gather a large group of loyal people. We also see his willingness to go back and complete his education, and his willingness to face the past and resolve issues, as with Enishi.

Death the Kid, commonly referred to as “Kid”, is Shinigami’s son and the meister of Liz and Patti. He suffers from obsessive-compulsive disorder, which hinders him in his daily life and battles. He believes anything symmetrical is beautiful and if something is off by even the slightest measurement, he will try to correct it right away. This is definately true with his hair. Hes got a slick style which could take the sight of other men off and onto himself. Although… if he loves symetry.. then why is one side of his hair kinda white and the other not?!!
