Anime Review- Afro Samurai: Resurrection

January 27, 2010

When i first saw Afro Samurai back in 2008 I was amazed, to be honest I didn’t think a concept like this would work out in the way it did. I mean here you have a black samurai, in an anime, with hip-hop music, unless we’re talking Samurai Champloo this shouldn’t work. But I really liked Afro Samurai, I thought it was sick and it only increased my respect for Samuel L. Jackson, so when I found out that there was going to be a sequel to the series I was over the moon… However little did I know that this sequel would end up like this.

PC Game Review- Shattered Horizon

January 22, 2010

Combine zero gravity, the everlasting abyss of space and highly powered assault rifles, and you’ll end up with Shattered Horizons. Shattered Horizons puts you inside an airtight suit and releases you into the dark void that is space. Anime Review- Kuroshitsuji

January 18, 2010

Like most anime, Kuroshitsuji contains some overly dramatic scenes where not much drama is needed however, it is redeemed by touching scenes with just the right amount of drama. The sub-plots’ of this anime have the tendency to run like filler as the series progresses on, that’s not to say that they are all bad but, for example, one that involves Indians and curry seems to be exeptionally irrelevent to the plot but it manages to suffice to entertain. There are quite a few twists that would have been very difficult to see coming but in the end the new plot developments are convincing and not just random. Read the rest of this entry ?

Manga Review- Rustblaster

January 15, 2010

Often, an interesting title will peek my interest and I’ll dig into the material, curious to see what’s under the cover. Rustblaster was one of these titles. I couldn’t help but feel curious when I first stared at the title. At first, I couldn’t even imagine what the manga was about, and I certainly didn’t believe that the manga would be about vampires. Anime Review- Darker than BLACK: Ryuusei no Gemini

January 11, 2010

Well I suppose it had to happen sometime…. With my expectations set so high thanks to the original Darker than BLACK I have to say I’m a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the original and the sequel is also very good but it’s just a bit hard to believe that Ryuusei no Gemini could be called a sequel per say. Altogether it wasn’t a bad sequel to the original series, but there are some things that could have made Gemini better than it is.
