Ho-kago Tea Time: Gohan wa Okazu / U&I

As soon as the girls of K-ON’s light music club stepped out for what would be their final high school performance a couple of weeks ago, it’s pretty obvious that there would be some new songs closely followed by a new insert single to rake in a little more cash from the franchise, and lo and behold here it is in all it’s glory, featuring both new tracks shown off during the aforementioned episode. Loups-Garous Movie to air 8/28/10

According to VIZ media entertainment, and BARKS( 京極夏彦原作) the anime adaption film Loups-Garous will be released August 28th in Japan. Loups-Garous will also feature the female rock band SCANDAL. The girls will not only perform three songs for this summer’s Loups-Garous anime film, but all four members will also appear in the anime itself. The film adapts the Loups-Garous Kihi Subeki Ōkami virtual reality mystery novel by Requiem from the Darkness’ Natsuhiko Kyogoku. Read the rest of this entry ?


Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets: Highschool of the Dead

An anime which is simply but efficiently focused on entertaining the masses with boobs and blood arguably needs a similarly positioned opening theme, and as fitting tracks go Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets’ eponymous opening single fits the bill – It’s simple, ear catching (and indeed catchy) and with sufficient pace and energy to match the action quotiant of the series it accompanies. Girls Dead Monster: Thousand Enemies Insert Song Single

It was more than a little surprising to see Angel Beats! kill off its front-woman Iwasawa just three episodes in, particularly given the prominence of the “house band” Girls Dead Monster in terms of both merchandising and the series itself. Needless to say, the series was quick to employ a replacement in the form of the arguably more “moe-friendly” Yui, the introduction of which ties in nicely to this second single from the show’s band, Thousand Enemies.
