July 30, 2009

Could it be that even anime’s can be accused of plagiarism? NO WAY!? You might say but just take a look at this…

The girl from the first picture is Kana Minami from the anime Minami-ke. This show first aired October 7th, 2007. The anime is about three sisters: Haruka, Kana and Chiaki, who have an average life. The girls only have each other to depend on and help each other get through everything from love confessions to cooking. Basically just a “normal life” anime. The second picture is of Kooh from the online fantasy golf game Pangya. Kooh is an 11 year old girl who’s

Umineko No Naku Koro Ni Episode 5

July 29, 2009

As much as I don’t care about the original visual novel, I have to admit that this episode stretched even my suspense of disbelief. Battler just acted way too weird in this episode, it just doesn’t make any sense. Read the rest of this entry ?

Umineko No Naku Koro Ni Episode 4

July 23, 2009

You know, despite the supposed details that are left out from the original Umineko, I’m really enjoying this series. Even Maria is getting better if we consider her as the culprit, or one thing very much related to the culprit, but that’s where the mystery comes in: perhaps she has a very good reason to act the way she does? I mean, this is a fantasy-series: we’ve got glowing butterflies, so a bit of a mental delusion also might fit. Read the rest of this entry ?

Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Episode 3

July 23, 2009

A week just doesn’t seem complete without a new episode of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei at the moment, so thank goodness a third instalment of Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is here to amuse me; in fact, is it just me or is this new series getting funnier by the episode?

Umineko No Naku Koro Ni Episode 3

July 16, 2009

I have two problems with Umineko: Eva is too much stuck in her Takano-voice, and Maria is trying too hard to sound like Rena. Especially Maria gets on my nerves. I’m not really bothered with how she’s a little girl, but the way the camera keeps giving her close-ups when she’s making Higurashi-faces for no reason. Read the rest of this entry ?

Zan Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Episode 1

July 9, 2009

It’s not very often that I get ridiculously excited about the return of a particular anime franchise, but I have to confess that the initial news of a return to our screens of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei brought forth a whoop of delight from me. Whether it’s in manga or anime form, this is a series that seems capable of drilling directly into my brain to extract whatever surreal forms of hilarity hide within it before bringing them to life with artistry and flair.
