The Anime Store in Denver,CO

I am very proud to say that my state has its very own Anime Store located right in the heart of downtown Denver, Colorado. I have taken many frequent visits to the Anime Store on East Hampden Avenue and have always left with something I just “Had to Own”. The Anime Store is the ONLY anime store in all of Colorado, but it sure makes its mark on the state. Finding the Anime Store is simple and easily accessed. The outside of the store can be seen with wall scrolls and posters hanging on the windows, and kind sings welcoming you to the store.

Denver Cherry Blossom Festival 2010

I managed to make it out to the Denver Cherry Blossom Festival this year, and boy was it a day worth celebrating! It is always fun to get in with some Japanese folks and those who like Japanese culture. I met tons of new people, and also met up with some old Con buddies of mine. It was a great day, and I am so glad I took time to visit good old Sakura Square once again.

Girls Dead Monster: Thousand Enemies Insert Song Single

It was more than a little surprising to see Angel Beats! kill off its front-woman Iwasawa just three episodes in, particularly given the prominence of the “house band” Girls Dead Monster in terms of both merchandising and the series itself. Needless to say, the series was quick to employ a replacement in the form of the arguably more “moe-friendly” Yui, the introduction of which ties in nicely to this second single from the show’s band, Thousand Enemies.

Ho-kago Tea Time: New K-ON!! Singles Release

It is official now that K-ON!!’s opening and ending themes have gained quick single releases. Ho-kago Tea Time is a collection of the two songs both solo and instrumental. It’s no surprise that K-ON!! has turned into a real marketing franchise in the name of anime. Due to it’s popularity, K-ON!! singles have risen up in the ratings for japanese musical singles. If nothing else, these two singles are further proof that K-ON! shows little sign of disappearing.  Ho-kago Tea Time produces catchy tunes that anyone can get stuck in their head.

DVD/Blue Ray release of Ponyo

As some of you may know, today, March 2nd, was the US release date for Studio Ghibli’s latest film: Ponyo on a Cliff for DVD and Blue Ray. I just received my pre-ordered copy of Ponyo in the mail about 1 hour ago. I would like to say thank you to Amazon.com for giving me such a great deal on getting Ponyo. I ordered the Special Edition of Ponyo, which came with a bonus disk and a Ponyo Plushie (seen later in this post). I cannot wait to share the cuteness that is Ponyo with all of my friends.

Kagami Hiiragi Moving Figure

After waiting for sooo long.. my Kagami Hiiragi figure has finally arrived at my doorstep! Have you ever had one of those months when you were waiting for something that just would NOT  come! It feels like I ordered this figure like 7 months ago but oh well.. life goes on. I was wondering what sort of collection all of you viewers have at home? Send in some pics or just tell us what sort of figures or plushies you have.  Well… back to my figure here. I must say that this is a very nice piece. I have been looking for a lucky Star figure to add to my collection for a long time. I finally got the guts to order this one of Kagami that you are able to move around and change her look a bit.
